Description

Built for trained first responders who need to manage life-threatening injuries before an ambulance arrives. The Assurance Trauma First Aid Kit is an IFAK-style MOLLE bag containing the equipment to respond to major bleeds, open chest injuries, snake bite, and burns in the field — not a general-purpose kit with a tourniquet thrown in as an afterthought.

  • Contains a SOF Tactical Tourniquet Wide, HYFIN vent compact chest seal twin pack, RAPIDSTOP packing gauze, and a military trauma and haemorrhage control bandage — the equipment that matters when minutes count. Read our guide on how to stop severe bleeding before an ambulance arrives for context on why each item is included
  • Snake bite bandage with indicator, burn gel dressing, trauma shears, thermal blanket, and whistle also included — purpose-built for remote Australian environments where advanced care can be delayed
  • MOLLE-compatible bag — attaches to a main kit, backpack, or vest. Compact enough to carry on person, accessible fast when it matters
  • Packed and inspected by hand in Dubbo, NSW — every item checked before dispatch

Used by GoodSAM registered responders, VRA volunteers, NSW Rural Fire Service, SES, NSW National Parks and Wildlife remote field teams, and anyone operating in remote or high-risk environments where they may be the first and only qualified person on scene. Browse the full trauma and bleed control kit range if you want to compare this against the Major Bleed Kit for a fixed worksite application.

Check this kit after every use and at minimum every 12 months. Refill items are available directly at assurancefirstaidkits.com.au.

1. What should a proper trauma first aid kit include in Australia?

A proper trauma first aid kit in Australia should include equipment designed to manage major bleeding and life-threatening injuries — not just minor cuts.

This means compression bandages, high-absorbency trauma dressings, pressure bandages, gloves, and clear response guidance. A trauma kit is built to stabilise serious injuries until paramedics arrive, especially in remote or roadside situations where response times may be delayed.

2. Is this trauma kit suitable for major bleeding emergencies?

Yes. This kit is designed specifically to help manage significant bleeding and serious trauma.

The contents focus on controlling blood loss, protecting the responder, and supporting stabilisation before emergency services arrive. It is not a general “bandaid kit” — it is built for higher-risk incidents where proper equipment matters.

3. Can someone without medical training use this trauma first aid kit?

Yes. While trauma situations are serious, the kit is organised clearly and includes practical supplies that can be used by everyday Australians.

You do not need to be a paramedic. You need equipment that supports calm, correct action under pressure. Clear layout and purpose-selected contents help you respond properly while waiting for help.

4. Is a trauma first aid kit necessary for home or vehicle use?

or many Australians, yes. Serious injuries can occur at home, on the road, at worksites, during sport or while using tools.

A trauma first aid kit provides additional capability beyond a standard family kit. Many people keep one in their 4WD, work vehicle, shed, or garage so they are prepared for higher-risk situations.

5. How is this different from a standard first aid kit?

A standard first aid kit focuses on everyday injuries — minor cuts, sprains, burns and general wound care.

A trauma kit is specifically built for life-threatening emergencies. It prioritises bleed control, rapid response supplies and higher-capability dressings.

It’s the difference between appearing prepared — and being properly equipped for serious incidents.

Need Something More Specific?

If this kit isn’t the exact fit, we can customise one to match your team size, risk level or compliance requirements.
