Description

Most first aid tools do one job. The Slishman Pressure Wrap does four — tourniquet, compression wrap, sling, and limb stabiliser — in a single lightweight device with a Velcro-style closure that requires no buckles, ratchets, or windlass technique to operate. It is the versatile carry for kits where space is limited and the injury profile is unpredictable — sports bags, hiking packs, vehicle kits, home first aid, and personal IFAKs where one tool needs to cover multiple scenarios.

Not every bleeding injury requires a ratcheting tourniquet. Not every sling situation has a triangular bandage. The Slishman Pressure Wrap fills the gaps — fast, intuitive, and usable by anyone who has spent five minutes learning it. Read what an IFAK is and why versatile tools like this earn their place in a personal carry kit.

  • Four functions in one — tourniquet, compression wrap, sling, and stabiliser Loop over the injured limb and position over the wound, cinch the red sleeve until snug and bleeding is controlled, wrap the elastic band around the limb, and secure with the hooks. Note the application time on the white label. The same device adapts to haemorrhage control, sprain and strain compression, upper limb support, and limb stabilisation — reducing the number of individual items needed for a complete response capability. See how a versatile wrap fits into a correctly built Australian IFAK.
  • Velcro-style closure — no buckles, no ratchets, no windlass technique The hook-and-loop closure system requires no mechanical knowledge, no gross motor precision under stress, and no secondary securing step. Loop, cinch, wrap, hook. The intuitive application sequence makes this device accessible to anyone — including bystanders, children in a supervised setting, and anyone who has not had formal trauma training. Read our guide to stopping severe bleeding before an ambulance arrives — the Slishman is the flexible option in that response toolkit.
  • Compact, lightweight, washable, and latex-free Compact enough for a sports bag, hiking pack, vehicle glovebox, or personal IFAK without taking up space that other kit components need. Washable and reusable — unlike single-use tourniquets, the Slishman can be used for training and practice without depleting your treatment stock. Latex-free and gentle on skin for use on all skin types including children. Suitable for veterinary use on animals.
  • Suited to sports, home, outdoor, vehicle, and trauma kits The Slishman Pressure Wrap covers the full spectrum — from a child's sports sprain to a significant limb bleed in a remote setting. Used by tactical medics, law enforcement, first responders, outdoor adventurers, and civilian first aiders. Understand where the Slishman fits in a major bleed response module — and when a dedicated tourniquet is also required. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
The Slishman Pressure Wrap is a practical addition to any kit where versatility and compact carry matter — sports bags, hiking packs, home kits, vehicle kits, and personal IFAKs. Compare IFAK options to see where the Slishman fits in different carry configurations. Browse the full bleed control accessories range for compatible IFAK components. For hands-on training in pressure wrap and bleed control technique, contact us on 02 6882 9056 (phone or WhatsApp) or via our contact page. Use our First Aid Restock Form to stay stocked and kit-ready.

FAQs

What is the Slishman Pressure Wrap used for?
The Slishman Pressure Wrap is a multi-function device that can be used as a tourniquet for limb haemorrhage control, a compression wrap for sprains and strains, a sling for upper limb support, or a stabiliser for injured limbs. Its Velcro-style hook-and-loop closure requires no buckles, ratchets, or windlass technique — making it accessible to anyone who has practised the basic application sequence.

How do I use the Slishman Pressure Wrap as a tourniquet?
Loop the wrap over the injured limb and position it over the wound site. Cinch the red sleeve until snug and bleeding is controlled. Wrap the elastic band around the limb and secure with the hooks. Note the application time on the white label. Monitor the injured area and adjust pressure as needed. Contact us for hands-on training in pressure wrap technique.

What is the difference between the Slishman Pressure Wrap and a dedicated tourniquet?
A dedicated tourniquet such as the SOFTT-W or RapidStop is specifically engineered for full limb occlusion in life-threatening haemorrhage — achieving complete stoppage of blood flow below the device. The Slishman Pressure Wrap provides controlled compression and is suitable for significant bleeds and a wide range of injury management scenarios, but is not a direct replacement for a dedicated tourniquet in major arterial haemorrhage. For serious trauma risk environments, carry both.

Can the Slishman Pressure Wrap be reused?
Yes. The Slishman Pressure Wrap is washable and reusable, making it suitable for training and practice use without depleting your treatment stock. This is a meaningful advantage over single-use tourniquets for building application confidence through repetition.

Is this suitable for children and veterinary use?
Yes. The Slishman Pressure Wrap is latex-free and gentle on skin, suitable for use on children and animals. Its intuitive closure system makes it more accessible for use by or on children in a supervised setting than buckle or ratchet-style devices.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
