Description

A standard-width bandage strip does not provide adequate adhesive contact on both sides of a wider wound — the edges lift, the dressing shifts, and the wound is left partially exposed. The AeroPlast X-Wide Strip Fabric Bandage is the correct format for broader wounds, high-movement areas, and knuckle and palm injuries where a standard strip is not wide enough to stay in place through a working shift.

At 2.5cm x 7.5cm, the extra width provides significantly more adhesive surface on both sides of the wound — keeping the dressing in position through physical work, washing, and movement. The same SupaBond adhesive, SupaSorb wound pad, and heavy duty fabric backing as the standard AeroPlast range, in the format that covers what a standard strip cannot. Available in boxes of 50 and 100.

  • 2.5cm x 7.5cm extra-wide format — broader adhesive contact for wider wounds The extra width provides significantly more adhesive surface area on both sides of the wound compared to a standard strip, keeping the dressing in position through physical work and high-movement activity. For wounds across the palm, the back of the hand, or any broader wound surface where a standard strip leaves wound edges exposed, the X-Wide format is the correct choice.
  • SupaBond adhesive — stays on through a full shift, no edge lift SupaBond extra-strong adhesive prevents edge lifting and corner curling through physical work, washing, and movement. Latex-free and leaves no sticky residue on removal. The adhesive that keeps a wider strip in place through the conditions that defeat standard plasters — heavy fabric applications, wet environments, and high-contact work.
  • SupaSorb wound pad — absorbs exudate, non-adherent, reduces dressing changes The SupaSorb wound pad drains blood and exudate into internal pockets, keeping the wound site clean and reducing dressing changes. The non-adherent film means the pad does not stick to the wound on removal — no secondary wound trauma when the dressing is changed after a full shift.
  • Heavy duty fabric backing — air permeable, conforms to body contours Premium weight fabric backing conforms to hand and body contours without restricting movement. Air permeable construction allows the wound to breathe during extended wear. Available in boxes of 50 and 100 — the box format suits workplace first aid rooms, high-use site kits, and any environment where broader wound coverage is a regular requirement. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
Change dressing daily or more often according to wound condition. Apply and remove carefully from sensitive or fragile skin. Seek medical advice immediately for serious wounds or burns. FAQs

What is the difference between the X-Wide Strip and the standard AeroPlast fabric bandage?
The X-Wide Strip measures 2.5cm x 7.5cm — significantly wider than the standard strip format. The extra width provides more adhesive surface area on both sides of the wound, keeping the dressing in position through physical work and high-movement activity. It is the correct format for broader wounds, palm and back-of-hand injuries, and any wound surface where a standard strip does not provide adequate coverage or adhesive contact.

When should I use an X-Wide strip instead of a standard strip?
Use the X-Wide strip when the wound is wider than a standard strip can cover with adequate adhesive contact on both sides, or when the wound is in a high-movement area where a narrow strip lifts and shifts during activity. Common applications include wounds across the palm, back of the hand, forearm, and any broader wound surface where edge lift is a problem with standard-width strips.

What is SupaBond adhesive?
SupaBond is AeroPlast's proprietary extra-strong adhesive engineered for consistent adhesion across the full dressing surface. It prevents edge lifting and corner curling through physical work, is latex-free, and leaves no sticky residue on removal.

Are these bandages latex-free?
Yes. The SupaBond adhesive is latex-free and hypoallergenic, suitable for all skin types including environments where latex sensitivity cannot be confirmed in advance.

What box sizes are available?
AeroPlast X-Wide Strip Fabric Bandages are available in boxes of 50 and 100. The box of 100 is suited to workplace first aid rooms and high-use site kits. The box of 50 suits smaller kits and environments with lower volume requirements.

How often should the dressing be changed?
Change the dressing daily or more frequently according to the condition of the wound. If redness, discomfort, or signs of infection develop, discontinue use and seek medical advice. This product is not a substitute for direct medical attention from a healthcare practitioner.

How quickly does this ship?
AeroPlast X-Wide Strip Fabric Bandages ship from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
