Description

Workplace first aid rooms, school health rooms, event medical setups, and clinical support areas go through gauze swabs at volume — a 3-pack runs out quickly in a high-use environment. This box of 25 sterile 7.5 x 7.5cm gauze swabs is the correct format for any setting where wound cleaning and dressing changes are a regular occurrence rather than an occasional incident.

Low-lint, highly absorbent cotton construction — the swabs hold saline and antiseptic solution without shedding fibres into the wound, provide adequate absorption during wound assessment, and do not break down during use. TGA approved, hypoallergenic, latex-free, and the same swab trusted in clinical settings across Australia.

  • Box of 25 sterile swabs — right format for high-use first aid rooms 25 individually sterile swabs per box provides adequate stock for a busy workplace first aid room, school health room, or event medical setup without running out mid-session. The box format allows straightforward storage and audit tracking — replace the box when depleted rather than counting individual packets. Each swab is sterile and single-use — open immediately before use and discard after application.
  • Low-lint, high-absorbency cotton — no fibres left in the wound Low-lint construction means the swab does not shed cotton fibres into the wound during cleaning — fibre contamination in a wound increases infection risk and requires removal before dressing. High absorbency holds saline, antiseptic solution, and wound fluid effectively without the swab breaking down or losing structure during use. The clinical standard for wound cleaning, not a household cotton ball substitute.
  • TGA approved, hypoallergenic, latex-free — 7.5 x 7.5cm standard size TGA approved to the standard used in clinical and hospital settings. Hypoallergenic and latex-free for use across all skin types and in environments where individual sensitivities cannot be confirmed. The 7.5 x 7.5cm size provides adequate surface area for wound cleaning and antiseptic application across most minor to moderate wound presentations.
  • Suited to wound cleaning, dressing changes, and saline soaking The correct tool for cleaning wounds before dressing is applied, soaking wounds with saline during assessment, absorbing blood and exudate, and applying antiseptic to the wound surface. Used across worksites, schools, event first aid, and medical rooms where sterile wound contact is a non-negotiable standard. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
For standard workplace first aid kit inclusion where a smaller quantity is required, the 3-pack sterile gauze swabs are available in the same range. The box of 25 is the correct format for first aid rooms and high-use clinical support areas. Download the Safety Data Sheet for full product specifications. Use our First Aid Restock Form to stay audit-ready. Browse the full first aid kit supplies range for individual restock items.

FAQs

What is the difference between the box of 25 and the 3-pack gauze swabs?
Both are the same 7.5 x 7.5cm sterile gauze swab. The 3-pack is sized for inclusion in individual workplace first aid kits where occasional wound cleaning is required. The box of 25 is the correct format for workplace first aid rooms, school health rooms, and event medical setups where gauze swabs are used regularly and higher stock volume is required.

What are these gauze swabs used for?
These gauze swabs are used for cleaning wounds before dressing is applied, soaking wounds with saline during assessment, absorbing blood and exudate, applying antiseptic solution to the wound surface, and supporting dressing changes where sterile wound contact is required.

Why are low-lint gauze swabs important for wound care?
Low-lint construction means the swab does not shed cotton fibres into the wound during cleaning. Fibre contamination in a wound increases infection risk and requires removal before dressing is applied. Low-lint gauze is the clinical standard for wound cleaning — standard household cotton products are not appropriate substitutes for first aid wound care.

Are these gauze swabs TGA approved?
Yes. These sterile gauze swabs are TGA approved and meet the same standard used in clinical and hospital settings. They are hypoallergenic and latex-free, suitable for all skin types.

Are these swabs single-use?
Yes. Each swab is sterile and single-use. Open immediately before use and discard after application. Do not return an opened swab to the box or reuse a swab that has contacted a wound.

How quickly does this ship?

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
