Description

The twin-pack povidone-iodine swabs suit individual kit inclusion. The box of 100 suits the first aid officer restocking multiple kits across a fleet of vehicles, a large worksite, a school, or an aged care facility — environments where antiseptic swabs are used regularly and ordering in single packs is both inefficient and expensive. One box covers a full annual restock cycle for a high-use setting or a multi-kit restocking run without needing to reorder mid-year.

Each swab individually sealed, sterile, and pre-saturated with 10% povidone-iodine — the same hospital-grade antiseptic used in surgical prep. Latex free. The bulk format for first aid officers and safety leads who manage compliance at scale.

  • Box of 100 — the correct format for multi-kit restocking and high-use environments One box of 100 individually sealed swabs covers the annual restock requirement for multiple kits or a single high-traffic first aid room where antiseptic swabs are used regularly. Ordering in bulk reduces per-unit cost and eliminates the gap between incident and restock that occurs when individual packs run out unexpectedly. The correct purchasing format for first aid officers managing compliance across a fleet, a large worksite, school, or aged care facility.
  • 10% povidone-iodine — hospital-grade antiseptic for wound cleaning and skin prep Povidone-iodine 10% is a broad-spectrum antiseptic effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and spores — the correct antiseptic for cleaning minor cuts, abrasions, and wound sites before dressing in a first aid setting. Pre-saturated swabs deliver a consistent, controlled amount of solution without the variability of pouring from a bottle — each swab is ready to use immediately on opening.
  • Individually sealed, single-use, latex free — hospital-grade standard Each swab is individually sealed and sterile until opened — maintaining integrity across a full box of 100 regardless of storage conditions or how frequently the box is accessed. Single-use construction prevents cross-contamination between patients and incidents. Latex free for use across all patient types in shared workplace and clinical kit settings.
  • Audit-ready bulk stock — reduces reorder frequency for compliance managers WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits must be restocked after every incident and audited at least annually. Holding bulk stock of high-use consumables like antiseptic swabs means restocking is immediate after an incident rather than delayed while a reorder is placed. For safety leads managing multiple kit locations, a box of 100 covers the full annual cycle without mid-year reorders. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
For individual kit inclusion where a small quantity is required, the povidone-iodine twin packs are available in the same range. The box of 100 is the correct format for multi-kit restocking, high-use first aid rooms, and bulk annual restock. Use our First Aid Restock Form to track what has been used and stay audit-ready. FAQs

What is the difference between the box of 100 and the twin-pack povidone-iodine swabs?
Both contain the same 10% povidone-iodine swabs — individually sealed, sterile, and single-use. The twin pack is sized for individual kit inclusion where a small quantity is required. The box of 100 is the correct format for first aid officers restocking multiple kits across a fleet or large worksite, high-use first aid rooms, schools, and aged care facilities where antiseptic swabs are used regularly and bulk stock reduces reorder frequency.

What is povidone-iodine used for in first aid?
Povidone-iodine is a broad-spectrum antiseptic used to clean minor cuts, abrasions, and wound sites before dressing in first aid. At 10% concentration it is effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and spores — the range of pathogens that represent infection risk at a wound site. Pre-saturated swabs deliver a controlled amount of solution for consistent application without the variability of pouring from a bottle.

How many kits will a box of 100 swabs restock?
A standard Type A workplace kit includes a small number of antiseptic swabs — typically 2 twin packs (4 swabs). A box of 100 individual swabs covers approximately 25 full kit restocks at that standard, or provides a full annual supply for a high-use first aid room where swabs are used regularly across multiple incidents.

Are these swabs latex free?
Yes. These povidone-iodine swabs are latex free and suitable for use across all patient types in shared workplace, school, and clinical kit settings.

Should povidone-iodine be used on all wounds?
Povidone-iodine is appropriate for cleaning minor cuts, abrasions, and wound sites in general first aid. It should not be used on large open wounds, deep puncture wounds, or serious trauma without medical guidance. For general wound cleaning in first aid, it is the standard antiseptic included in WHS-compliant workplace kits.

How quickly does this ship?
Povidone-Iodine Swabs (box of 100) ship from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
