Description

Nasopharyngeal Airway – Size 8.5mm (TGA Approved, Sterile Packed)

Essential airway support when oral access isn’t possible. This nasopharyngeal airway (NPA) is a flexible, sterile-packed airway device used to maintain ventilation in unconscious patients — especially where oral trauma, jaw injury, or seizure activity make Guedel airways unsafe or ineffective.

Size 8.5mm is suited for larger adult patients and is TGA approved for use in clinical, field, and first responder settings. Soft, pliable, and curved for easy insertion with reduced gag reflex risk.

  • TGA approved medical-grade airway device
  • Sterile packed — hygiene compliant and field ready
  • Size 8.5mm — ideal for adult use
  • Ships from NSW within 1–2 business days

When You Can’t Go Oral, Go Nasal

NPAs are a must-have for responders treating unconscious or seizing patients when Guedel airways aren’t an option. This device preserves an open nasal passageway to deliver oxygen and reduce airway obstruction risk — with less trauma than oral devices.

Best Used By

  • ✔ Emergency responders and trauma teams
  • ✔ First aiders and medics working in remote or tactical environments
  • ✔ Paramedics supporting patients with facial injuries or clenched jaw

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
