A burn gel sachet or spray manages a small, localised burn. A burn sheet manages a serious one. The AeroBurn Low Adherent Burn Sheet is a 75 x 75cm sterile polyethylene sheet designed to cover and protect significant burn surface areas — providing a clean, non-adherent barrier over the wound that conforms to body contours, prevents infection, and can remain in place until hospital handover without causing secondary trauma on removal.
For serious burns covering a limb, the torso, or a large surface area, the correct first aid response after 20 minutes of cool running water is to cover the burn with a sterile non-adherent sheet — not a dressing, not cling wrap, not improvised material. The burn sheet is the correct tool, in the correct size, for that step.
- 75 x 75cm — covers significant burn surface areas on limbs and torso At 75 x 75cm, this sheet provides coverage for serious burns across a limb, a large body surface area, or multiple adjacent burn sites. Large enough to cover adequately without piecing together smaller dressings that leave gaps in wound protection. Can be folded or cut to size for smaller applications without losing sterility at the wound contact surface.
- Low-adherent polyethylene coating — does not stick to the burn wound One side is coated with a low-adherent coating that prevents the sheet from bonding to the burn wound surface. In a serious burn where the wound surface is fragile and highly sensitive, a dressing that adheres causes significant pain and tissue damage on removal. The low-adherent surface allows the sheet to protect without bonding — and to be removed at hospital without secondary wound trauma.
- Sterile, latex-free, conforms to body contours Sterile packaging maintains wound protection integrity until application. Latex-free construction eliminates allergy risk at a compromised wound site. The polyethylene sheet conforms to body contours — covering curved surfaces on limbs and torso without lifting or gapping at the edges, maintaining consistent wound protection across the full burn area.
- For use after 20 minutes of cool running water — before hospital transport Apply after the 20-minute water cooling step. Do not apply a burn sheet before completing the water cooling step — it traps heat in the tissue. Once cooling is complete, cover the burn with the sheet and transport to hospital. For all serious burns — burns larger than a palm, burns on the face, hands, feet, or joints, burns in children, or any chemical or electrical burn — call 000 immediately.
