Description

When a casualty needs to be moved and a stretcher is not available, the carry sheet is what gets them there safely. The Green Cotton Terylene Carry Sheet is a compact, flexible patient handling tool with 8 reinforced carry handles — designed for rapid deployment in public emergencies, worksites, events, and any situation where a patient needs to be lifted, moved, or repositioned by multiple responders without specialist equipment.

Cotton terylene construction gives the sheet both flexibility and strength — it conforms to the patient rather than holding a rigid shape, making it practical across a wide range of patient handling situations. Folds to a compact package for storage in a first aid kit, vehicle, or event medical bag. Suitable for patients up to approximately 100kg.

  • 8 reinforced carry handles — multiple responders, controlled movement Eight handles positioned around the sheet allow up to eight responders to share the load and move a patient in a coordinated, controlled manner. More handles means better load distribution, better control of the patient's position during movement, and less strain on individual responders. In a public emergency or worksite incident, getting multiple people organised around a patient quickly is what the handle layout is designed for.
  • Cotton terylene — flexible, strong, and conforming Cotton terylene combines the flexibility of cotton with the strength and durability of terylene polyester. The fabric conforms to the patient's body rather than holding a rigid shape, making it suitable for lifting, dragging, or repositioning across a range of surface types and environments. Suitable for patients up to approximately 100kg.
  • Folds to a compact package — ready to deploy from any kit or bag Despite its full patient-covering size when open, the carry sheet folds down to a compact package that stores in a first aid kit, vehicle kit, event medical bag, or emergency response pack without bulk. Deploys immediately when needed — no assembly, no setup.
  • Suited to public emergencies, worksites, events, and remote locations Anywhere a patient may need to be moved before ambulance arrival — a construction site, a sporting event, a remote property, or a public space — the carry sheet provides a practical patient handling solution that does not require a stretcher or specialist rescue equipment. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
This product is not a substitute for direct medical attention from a healthcare practitioner. Always follow safe patient handling procedures and do not move a patient with suspected spinal injury without appropriate training and equipment. FAQs

What is a carry sheet used for in first aid?
A carry sheet is used to lift, move, or reposition a patient when a stretcher or specialist equipment is not available. The Green Cotton Terylene Carry Sheet has 8 reinforced handles for multi-responder patient handling, allowing a casualty to be moved in a controlled, coordinated manner in public emergencies, worksites, events, and remote locations.

How many people are needed to use a carry sheet?
The carry sheet has 8 handles positioned around the sheet, allowing up to 8 responders to share the load. A minimum of 4 responders is recommended for safe patient lifting — two on each side. More handles allow better load distribution, better control of the patient's position, and less strain on individual responders during movement.

What is the weight capacity of this carry sheet?
This carry sheet is suitable for patients up to approximately 100kg. For heavier patients or complex patient handling situations, contact us for advice on appropriate equipment.

Can this carry sheet be used to move a patient with a suspected spinal injury?
No. Patients with suspected spinal injuries should not be moved without appropriate training, equipment, and spinal immobilisation in place. Moving a patient with a spinal injury incorrectly can cause permanent damage. Call 000 and follow dispatcher instructions — do not attempt to move the patient with a carry sheet unless there is an immediate life threat from remaining in position.

Does this carry sheet fold down for kit storage?
Yes. Despite covering a full patient when open, the carry sheet folds to a compact package suitable for storage in a first aid kit, vehicle kit, event medical bag, or emergency response pack. It deploys immediately without assembly or setup.

How quickly does this ship?
The Green Cotton Terylene Carry Sheet ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
