Why does a sports first aid kit need a snake bite bandage?
Snake bite is a real risk at outdoor training grounds and sports fields across Australia, particularly in regional areas. The snake bite bandage included is a full adult lower-limb length tension indicator bandage (10cm x 10.5m) — the correct specification for pressure immobilisation technique as recommended by ANZCOR. A standard short bandage is not sufficient for lower limb bites in adults.
