Description

A burn gel sachet treats the site and then requires a separate dressing on top. A burn gel dressing does both in one step — the gel is impregnated directly into the dressing, which is applied to the burn, provides immediate cooling and pain relief, hydrates the site, and can remain in situ for up to two hours without redressing or additional cooling. For burns requiring sustained treatment before hospital arrival, or in remote and field settings where ongoing dressing management is not practical, the gel dressing is the more effective tool.

AeroBurn Burn Gel Dressings are non-adherent and non-toxic, available in four sizes including a face dressing and a large 40 x 60cm dressing for significant burn surface areas. After 20 minutes of cool running water, place the dressing directly on the burn — it stays, it works, and it requires minimal attention until professional care is available.

  • Gel-impregnated dressing — applies, cools, and protects in one step The burn gel is impregnated directly into the dressing material, eliminating the separate gel-then-dressing sequence. Apply after the 20-minute water cooling step and the dressing immediately begins hydrating the burn site, relieving pain, and protecting the wound surface. Can remain in situ for up to two hours — providing sustained relief with minimal attention or redressing required.
  • Hydrates the burn site — relieves pain and supports faster healing The hydrogel formula maintains a moist wound environment at the burn site, which reduces pain by keeping nerve endings hydrated and supports faster healing by preventing the wound surface from drying and crusting. The sustained hydration effect over up to two hours is more effective than gel applied once from a sachet, which dries progressively after application.
  • Non-adherent and non-toxic — removes cleanly without wound disruption The non-adherent surface does not bond to the burn wound, allowing the dressing to be removed or replaced without disturbing the wound surface or causing additional pain. Non-toxic formulation is safe for all skin types including children. No secondary wound trauma on removal — relevant for burns where the wound surface is fragile and easily disrupted.
  • Available in four sizes — 10x10cm, 20x20cm, face dressing 30x40cm, and 40x60cm The range covers minor localised burns at 10 x 10cm, moderate burns at 20 x 20cm, facial burns with the dedicated 30 x 40cm face dressing, and significant burn surface areas at 40 x 60cm. Select the size that covers the burn with adequate overlap — a dressing that does not fully cover the wound leaves the burn surface exposed. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
For minor burns in workplace and home first aid kits where a compact single-use treatment is required, the 3.5g burn gel sachets are the standard inclusion. The burn gel dressing is the correct tool for larger burns, facial burns, remote area kits, and any setting where sustained treatment for up to two hours before hospital arrival is a realistic requirement. FAQs

What is the difference between a burn gel dressing and a burn gel sachet?
A burn gel sachet delivers gel that is applied to the burn site before a separate dressing is placed on top. A burn gel dressing has the gel impregnated directly into the dressing material — it applies, cools, and protects the burn in one step. The dressing can remain in situ for up to two hours, providing sustained relief without redressing or additional cooling. For larger burns, facial burns, or remote area use where ongoing dressing management is not practical, the gel dressing is the more effective format.

How do I use AeroBurn Burn Gel Dressings?
Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes first. After cooling, apply the burn gel dressing directly to the burn site, gel side down. The dressing can remain in place for up to two hours without redressing or additional cooling required. Seek medical attention for all serious burns — this dressing provides first aid management until professional care is available.

How long can the dressing remain in place?
AeroBurn Burn Gel Dressings can remain in situ for up to two hours, providing sustained cooling, hydration, and pain relief with minimal attention or redressing required. This makes them particularly suited to remote area first aid and transport to hospital where sustained burn management before arrival is required.

What sizes are available?
AeroBurn Burn Gel Dressings are available in four sizes: 10 x 10cm for minor localised burns, 20 x 20cm for moderate burns, a dedicated face dressing at 30 x 40cm, and a large 40 x 60cm dressing for significant burn surface areas. Select the size that fully covers the burn with adequate overlap on all sides.

Is this dressing suitable for facial burns?
Yes. The 30 x 40cm face dressing size is specifically designed for facial burn coverage. Facial burns require immediate medical attention — apply the dressing as a first aid measure and call 000 or transport to hospital immediately.

Is this dressing non-adherent?
Yes. AeroBurn Burn Gel Dressings are non-adherent — the dressing does not bond to the burn wound and can be removed without disrupting the wound surface or causing additional pain. The non-toxic formulation is safe for all skin types including children.

How quickly does this ship?
AeroBurn Burn Gel Dressings ship from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
