Description

Attempting to remove a splinter or debris from a wound without the right tool causes more damage than it fixes — pushing foreign material deeper, widening the entry point, and increasing infection risk. Tweezers are not optional in a well-equipped first aid kit. They are the tool that makes the difference between clean, controlled wound management and improvisation that makes things worse.

These 7.5cm stainless steel tweezers are precision-tipped, durable, easy to clean between uses, and sized to fit in any standard first aid kit without taking up space that dressings and bandages need. A required WHS kit item — and one of the first things a first aid officer reaches for in a real incident.

  • Precision tips for controlled splinter and debris removal Precision-ground tips allow the first aider to grip and remove splinters, glass fragments, and wound debris cleanly without widening the entry point or pushing material deeper into the tissue. In a workplace environment where metal swarf, wood splinters, and glass are common foreign bodies, tweezers with imprecise or blunt tips are not fit for purpose — the precision tip is what makes the difference between clean removal and a secondary injury.
  • High-grade stainless steel — reusable, easy to clean, built to last Stainless steel construction withstands repeated cleaning with antiseptic wipes, isopropyl alcohol, or autoclave sterilisation. Does not corrode, warp, or degrade with regular use and cleaning. A quality pair of stainless steel tweezers outlasts any kit restocking cycle — replace only if the tips become misaligned or damaged.
  • 7.5cm compact length — fits any first aid kit At 7.5cm, these tweezers fit in a standard first aid kit bag, tackle box, or vehicle kit without displacing other items. Long enough to handle with control, compact enough to store without dedicated space. The right size for first aid use — not an oversized clinical instrument, not an undersized cosmetic tweezer.
  • Required tool for WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits Tweezers are a required inclusion in WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits under the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice. A kit without tweezers is not audit-ready and leaves the first aid officer without the basic tools to manage common workplace injuries. Clean thoroughly after each use before returning to the kit. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
WHS audits check for basic tools including tweezers in every kit. Use our First Aid Restock Form to track kit contents and stay audit-ready. Browse the full first aid kit supplies range for individual restock items.

FAQs

What are tweezers used for in a first aid kit?
Tweezers are used to remove splinters, glass fragments, metal swarf, and other foreign bodies from wounds cleanly and with control. They are also used to handle dressings and wound care materials without direct contact. Attempting to remove debris without tweezers risks pushing the foreign body deeper, widening the wound entry point, and increasing infection risk.

Are tweezers required in WHS-compliant first aid kits?
Yes. Tweezers are a required inclusion in WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits under the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice for First Aid. A kit without tweezers is not audit-ready and does not meet the minimum tool requirement for workplace wound management.

How do I clean tweezers after use?
Clean stainless steel tweezers thoroughly after each use with an antiseptic wipe, isopropyl alcohol, or soap and water before returning to the kit. Stainless steel withstands repeated cleaning without corrosion or degradation. Replace only if the tips become misaligned, bent, or damaged in a way that affects precision.

What size are these tweezers and will they fit in a standard first aid kit?
These tweezers are 7.5cm in length — compact enough to fit in any standard first aid kit bag, tackle box, or vehicle kit without displacing other items. Long enough to handle with control during wound care procedures.

Are these tweezers reusable?
Yes. High-grade stainless steel tweezers are reusable and built to last through repeated use and cleaning cycles. Clean thoroughly after each use before returning to the kit. Replace if the tips become misaligned or damaged.

How quickly does this ship?

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
