Description

The same AeroProbe Splinter Probe — hygienically packed, 3.7cm, single-use — in a sheet of 5 for inclusion in individual first aid kits where a full box of 100 is more than the kit needs. The correct format for a standard workplace kit, vehicle kit, or restock pack where splinter removal capability is required without the bulk or cost of a full bulk box.

Splinter probes work alongside tweezers for controlled, clean removal of embedded splinters, wood fibres, and metal swarf — freeing the embedded end so tweezers can grip and extract without pushing the foreign body deeper or fragmenting it at the skin surface. Five probes is the right quantity for a kit that sees occasional splinter incidents rather than daily high-volume use.

  • Sheet of 5 — right-sized for individual first aid kits and restock packs Five probes is the correct quantity for a standard workplace first aid kit, vehicle kit, sports kit, or restock pack. Enough for multiple incidents without the excess of a full box of 100. The sheet format sits flat in any kit without bulk — and each probe is individually hygienically packed for single use, maintaining sterility until needed.
  • Same 3.7cm AeroProbe — precise tip, single-use, hygienically packed Identical specification to the box of 100 — fine probe tip for controlled splinter manipulation, 3.7cm working length, single-use construction. The sheet of 5 is the same tool in the right quantity for kit inclusion rather than first aid room bulk supply.
  • Used alongside tweezers for complete splinter removal The probe frees and positions the splinter; tweezers grip and extract. Both tools are needed for clean removal of deeply embedded foreign bodies — the probe alone may not complete the extraction, and tweezers alone cannot free a deeply embedded splinter without the probe doing the preliminary work first.
  • Included in standard Type A and Type B workplace restock packs Splinter probes in a sheet of 5 are included as standard in our 10-person and 5-person workplace restock packs — the correct quantity for kit inclusion. Replace the sheet after use to keep the kit compliant and ready. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
For workplace first aid rooms and high-use environments where splinter removal is a daily task, the box of 100 AeroProbe Splinter Probes is the more practical format. Browse the full first aid kit supplies range for individual restock items, or use our First Aid Restock Form to track what needs replacing and stay audit-ready.

FAQs

What is the difference between the sheet of 5 and the box of 100 splinter probes?
Both are the same AeroProbe Splinter Probe — identical specification, 3.7cm, single-use, hygienically packed. The difference is quantity and format. The sheet of 5 is sized for inclusion in individual first aid kits, vehicle kits, and restock packs where occasional splinter removal is required. The box of 100 is suited to workplace first aid rooms and high-use environments where splinter removal is a daily or regular task.

What is a splinter probe used for?
A splinter probe is used to free and position an embedded splinter for removal. The fine probe tip works around the embedded end of the splinter to free it without enlarging the wound or fragmenting the foreign body. It is used alongside tweezers — the probe frees the splinter, tweezers grip and extract it. It is the correct tool for fine splinters, wood fibres, and metal swarf that tweezers alone cannot remove cleanly.

Are these probes single-use?
Yes. Each probe is hygienically packed for single use and should be discarded after use. Do not reuse a probe that has been in contact with a wound.

How many probes are in a sheet?
Each sheet contains 5 AeroProbe Splinter Probes at 3.7cm. This is the standard quantity included in individual workplace first aid kits and restock packs.

Are splinter probes included in standard workplace first aid kits?
Yes. Splinter probes in a sheet of 5 are included as standard in our Type A and Type B workplace restock packs — the correct quantity for kit inclusion across standard workplace, vehicle, and sports kits.

How quickly does this ship?
AeroProbe Splinter Probes (sheet of 5) ship from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
