Description

Most standard band-aids are not sealed around the wound pad — fluid can track under the backing and reach the wound, carrying contamination with it. These Plastic Standard Strip bandages are different. The wound pad is sealed on all sides, meaning water, sweat, and contaminants cannot reach the wound site through the backing. In a workplace, construction site, kitchen, or any environment where hands are in contact with water, dirt, or surfaces throughout the shift, that sealed pad is the difference between a protected wound and an infected one.

Sterile, individually wrapped, latex-free, and hypoallergenic — the standard strip that belongs in every compliant kit, in quantity, because it is the item that gets used first and runs out fastest.

  • Sealed wound pad — water and contaminants cannot reach the wound site The wound pad is sealed on all sides against the backing, preventing fluid tracking under the bandage during washing, wet work, or physical activity. Most standard band-aids on the market are not sealed — the pad sits against the wound but fluid can travel under the backing from the edges. A sealed pad keeps the wound site protected through a full working shift in wet or dirty conditions.
  • Sterile, individually wrapped — 7.2 x 1.9cm standard size Individually sterile wrapped for single use — each strip is ready to apply directly to a clean wound without additional preparation. The 7.2 x 1.9cm standard size covers small cuts, grazes, and finger injuries with adequate adhesive contact on both sides of the wound. The most-used size in any workplace first aid kit — stock accordingly.
  • Hypoallergenic, latex-free adhesive — breathable, suitable for all skin types Latex-free adhesive eliminates allergy risk across a mixed workforce where individual sensitivities may not be known. Hypoallergenic formulation reduces skin reaction risk with repeated use on hands and fingers. Breathable backing supports wound healing without moisture build-up under the dressing.
  • Required in all WHS minimum first aid kits — the first item to run out Sterile adhesive strips are a mandatory inclusion in WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits under the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice. They are also the item that gets used most frequently and depleted fastest between audits. Keep enough on hand — a kit with no strips is a kit that fails the people using it. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
WHS requires first aid kits to be audited at least annually and after every incident — and strips are consistently the first item found depleted. Use our First Aid Restock Form to track what has been used and stay audit-ready. Download the Safety Data Sheet for full product specifications. FAQs

What makes these bandage strips different from standard band-aids?
These plastic standard strips have a sealed wound pad — the pad is sealed on all sides against the backing, preventing water, sweat, and contaminants from tracking under the bandage and reaching the wound site. Most standard band-aids are not sealed around the pad, meaning fluid can travel under the backing from the edges during washing or wet work. A sealed pad keeps the wound protected through a full shift in wet or dirty conditions.

What size are these bandage strips?
These standard strips measure 7.2 x 1.9cm — the standard size for covering small cuts, grazes, and finger injuries with adequate adhesive contact on both sides of the wound. They are individually sterile wrapped and ready to apply directly to a clean wound.

Are these strips latex-free?
Yes. These bandage strips have a latex-free, hypoallergenic adhesive suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin and mixed workforces where individual latex sensitivities may not be known in advance.

Are adhesive strips required in WHS-compliant first aid kits?
Yes. Sterile adhesive strips are a mandatory inclusion in WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits under the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice for First Aid. They are also the most frequently used and most frequently depleted item in any workplace kit — restock regularly and keep adequate supply on hand.

Can these strips be used in wet or dirty work environments?
Yes. The sealed wound pad prevents water and contaminants from reaching the wound site through the backing, making these strips suitable for use in wet work environments including construction, kitchen, agricultural, and outdoor settings. For heavy duty applications requiring superior adhesion through a full shift, the AeroPlast Premium Weight Fabric Bandage is available in the same range.

How quickly does this ship?
Plastic Standard Strip bandages ship from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
