Description
The NSW Police Operational Vehicle First Aid Backpack carries the same operational contents as the red soft bag vehicle kit — built to NSW Police specifications in direct consultation with police staff, suitable for all NSW Local Area Commands — in a roomier backpack format that gives officers more carry capacity, better organisation, and the option to bring additional items when the operational situation calls for it.
Where the soft bag is compact and vehicle-optimised, the backpack format suits officers who need to move on foot from the vehicle to an incident, carry additional personal items or documents, or prefer the structure and access of a backpack over a soft bag. Same contents, more room, different carry.
- Same NSW Police operational contents as the red soft bag vehicle kit Built to the same specification, developed in the same consultation process, suitable for the same LACs. The difference is format — the backpack carries the same operational kit with additional capacity for personal items, operational documents, or supplementary equipment. Contents are not published publicly and are available on request to verified NSW Police personnel and command staff.
- Roomier format with internal pouches, document storage, and configurable organisation Internal pouches can be configured to suit individual officer preference or unit requirements. Document storage pocket carries medical plans, evacuation plans, or operational paperwork. The additional capacity over the soft bag makes this the preferred format for officers regularly deploying on foot from their vehicle or working extended operations away from the station.
- TGA-approved consumables, long expiry, meets SafeWork Australia Code of Practice All consumables are TGA-approved with long expiry dates to maintain operational readiness between maintenance cycles. Built to meet SafeWork Australia's model WHS legislation and Code of Practice for First Aid, applied at the standard NSW Police require — not the minimum a standard employer might accept.
