If you have been asked to sort the school's first aid kit and you want it done right the first time, this is the box. The NSW Department of Education First Aid Box is built to meet FORM058 — the NSW DoE's own first aid kit specifications — so you can order it, receive it, and tick it off without cross-referencing a government document yourself.
This is not a generic workplace kit relabelled for schools. Every item has been selected against the actual FORM058 requirements and the real incidents that happen in school environments — from playground falls and science classroom injuries to asthma episodes and snake bite response on school grounds. Read our guide on what needs to be in an Australian school first aid kit if you want to understand exactly what the requirements cover before you order.
- Built to NSW DoE FORM058 specifications Compliant out of the box — no cross-referencing, no substitutions, no guesswork. FORM058 requires at least one kit per school building, positioned no further than 100 metres from each classroom. Three content lists are included so each kit location has its own maintenance record, and kits must be checked after each use and at minimum every 12 months under NSW DoE requirements.
- Two asthma spacers, asthma first aid instructions, TICKTOX tick spray, snake bite bandage with tension indicator, and needle disposal unit These are the items that separate a genuine school kit from a standard compliance box. Asthma is the most common medical emergency in Australian schools. Ticks are a real hazard on school grounds across NSW. Snake bite response needs to be in every kit that goes outside. A needle disposal unit is there because it gets used.
- Hospital-grade wound care, burn gel sachets, sodium chloride eyewash ampoules, multiple dressing sizes, nitrile gloves, and disposable face shield Comprehensive response capability for the full range of school injuries — playground falls, burns, eye contamination in science or visual arts, and anything that needs a clean, properly dressed wound. Nothing selected for price. Everything selected for what actually happens.
- Packed and inspected by hand in Dubbo, NSW Every kit is packed and inspected by hand in Dubbo, NSW. Our founder has 18 years experience as a remote first aid trainer — including active service with the Dubbo VRA, two years in aeromedical patient transport with Airmed, and qualification as an EMT. This is not a kit designed by a catalogue buyer.
