Description

Wound cleaning is the step most people rush — and the one that determines whether a minor cut stays minor or becomes infected. This 50ml First Aid Antiseptic Spray cleans cuts, abrasions, and grazes fast, without direct contact, making it practical for first aid officers managing wounds in busy, high-traffic environments where speed and hygiene both matter.

WHS compliance covers more than bandages and dressings. Proper wound cleansing before dressing is a basic standard of care — and a spray format is the right tool for shared kits where cross-contamination is a real consideration.

  • Touch-free antiseptic application — 50ml spray bottle No direct contact with the wound or surrounding skin during application. In a shared kit used by multiple people across a shift, a spray format reduces cross-contamination risk compared to wipes or squeeze bottles. Compact 50ml size fits in any kit without taking up space that dressings and bandages need.
  • Fast-acting antiseptic for minor cuts, abrasions, and grazes Cleans the wound and reduces infection risk before dressing is applied. Infection from an inadequately cleaned wound is preventable — this spray is the step that prevents it. Fast enough to use under time pressure without cutting corners on wound hygiene.
  • Latex-free and suitable for sensitive skin Latex-free formulation suitable for use in environments where latex sensitivity is a known or unknown factor — factories, schools, food production facilities, and outdoor crews. No need to check individual sensitivities before use.
  • Supports WHS standards for wound hygiene and care Wound cleansing is an expected component of first aid treatment under WHS guidelines. Including an antiseptic spray in your kit is part of meeting that standard — not an optional extra. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
Used in workplace kits across factories, schools, warehouses, offices, and outdoor crews — anywhere cuts and scrapes are a daily reality. WHS compliance means more than bandages. Use our First Aid Restock Form to track what has been used and stay audit-ready. Browse the full first aid kit supplies range for individual restock items.

FAQs

What is this antiseptic spray used for?
This 50ml first aid antiseptic spray is used to clean minor cuts, abrasions, and grazes before dressing is applied. It reduces infection risk through fast-acting antiseptic action without requiring direct contact with the wound, making it suitable for use in shared first aid kits across high-traffic workplaces.

Why use a spray instead of antiseptic wipes?
A spray format allows touch-free application — no direct contact with the wound or surrounding skin during use. In shared kits used across a shift or by multiple first aid officers, this reduces cross-contamination risk. It is also faster to apply across irregular wound surfaces than a wipe, and does not require the user to make physical contact with the injury site.

Is wound cleansing required for WHS compliance?
Yes. Proper wound cleansing before dressing is an expected component of first aid treatment under WHS guidelines. Including an antiseptic spray or equivalent in your first aid kit supports compliance with WHS standards for wound hygiene and care — it is not optional in a kit expected to manage minor injuries properly.

Is this spray suitable for people with latex sensitivity?
Yes. This antiseptic spray is latex-free and suitable for sensitive skin, making it appropriate for use in environments where latex sensitivity may be a known or unknown factor — including schools, food production facilities, factories, and outdoor work settings.

What size is the spray bottle and will it fit in a standard first aid kit?
The bottle is 50ml — compact enough to fit in any standard first aid kit bag, tackle box, or vehicle kit without displacing other items. It is designed for portability in high-traffic or field environments where kit space is limited.

How quickly does this ship?
The First Aid Antiseptic Spray ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
