Description

Training covers what to do. The first aid guide leaflet is what you reach for when the pressure is on and you need the steps confirmed in front of you. Even a trained first aider benefits from a clear quick-reference during a real incident — adrenaline affects recall, and a compact fold-out with the correct sequence removes the uncertainty at exactly the moment it matters most.

This First Aid Guide Leaflet includes a CPR chart and emergency first aid steps in a compact fold-out format that fits in any kit, pouch, or bag. A WHS compliance requirement for every workplace first aid kit — and the item that supports both the first aider and the organisation when an incident is reviewed after the fact.

  • CPR chart and emergency first aid steps — quick reference under pressure The CPR chart provides the correct compression-to-breath ratio, rate, and sequence for adult CPR in a format that can be read and followed quickly during a real cardiac arrest response. Emergency first aid steps cover the priority responses for the most common serious incidents — the information a first aider needs confirmed in front of them when adrenaline is affecting recall.
  • Compact fold-out format — fits in any kit, pouch, or bag Folds to a compact size that sits in any standard first aid kit bag, tackle box, vehicle kit, or pouch without taking up space that supplies need. Opens immediately when needed — no bookmarks, no page searching, the relevant information is accessible within seconds. Designed for real-world use in high-pressure environments, not as a reference to be read at a desk.
  • WHS compliance requirement for every workplace first aid kit A first aid reference guide is a mandatory inclusion in WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits under the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice for First Aid. A kit without one does not meet the minimum standard. Replace if the leaflet becomes wet, damaged, or illegible — a guide that cannot be read in an emergency is not compliant.
  • Supports first aid officers, schools, events, and worksites Used across workplaces, schools, sporting clubs, and events as the quick-reference tool included in every kit. Not a training manual — the steps are concise, clear, and designed for someone who needs to act now rather than read extensively. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
Every workplace kit must include a first aid reference guide to meet WHS compliance. Replace if damaged or missing — a guide that cannot be read is not compliant. Use our First Aid Restock Form to track what needs replacing and stay audit-ready. Browse the full first aid kit supplies range for individual restock items.

FAQs

Is a first aid guide leaflet required in WHS-compliant first aid kits?
Yes. A first aid reference guide is a mandatory inclusion in WHS-compliant workplace first aid kits under the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice for First Aid. A kit without a first aid guide does not meet the minimum standard and is not audit-ready.

What does this first aid guide leaflet include?
This first aid guide leaflet includes a CPR chart with the correct compression-to-breath ratio, rate, and sequence for adult CPR, alongside emergency first aid steps for the most common serious incidents. It is presented in a compact fold-out format designed for quick reference under pressure — not a training manual, but the quick-reference tool that confirms the correct steps at the moment they are needed.

Why include a first aid guide if the first aider is already trained?
Even trained first aiders benefit from a quick-reference guide during a real incident. Adrenaline affects recall and causes hesitation on details — the correct compression rate, the exact sequence of steps — that training covers but stress can disrupt. A guide that confirms the correct response in front of the first aider removes that uncertainty at exactly the moment it matters most.

How often should the first aid guide be replaced?
Replace the guide if it becomes wet, damaged, or illegible. A guide that cannot be read in an emergency is not compliant. Check the guide during annual kit audits and after any incident where the kit was accessed.

Will this leaflet fit in a standard first aid kit?
Yes. The guide folds to a compact size that fits in any standard first aid kit bag, tackle box, vehicle kit, or pouch without displacing other items.

How quickly does this ship?

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
