Description

Most splints immobilise a limb. This one immobilises a limb, a wrist, or a neck — depending on how you fold it. The Assurance First Aid Kits Splint is a 50x11cm foldable foam splint with three configurable rigidity profiles: C-Curve for strong support, Reverse C-Curve for stronger support, and T-Curve for maximum rigidity. The same piece of equipment adapts to the injury in front of you rather than requiring a different splint for each application.

Ruler markings printed along both edges allow accurate sizing before application. Application diagrams printed on the packaging cover neck and arm immobilisation — the two most common field splinting scenarios — so the correct technique is on the device itself when you need it. Compact, flat-packed, and branded Assurance First Aid Kits — the splint included in our Elite Sports First Aid Kit and available as an individual restock item.

  • Three rigidity configurations — C-Curve, Reverse C-Curve, and T-Curve The foam construction allows three distinct fold configurations that progressively increase rigidity. C-Curve provides strong support for limb splinting in standard applications. Reverse C-Curve provides stronger support for more significant injuries requiring firmer immobilisation. T-Curve provides maximum rigidity for the highest immobilisation requirement — including cervical collar application for neck support. One splint covers the full range of common field splinting applications.
  • Cervical and limb application — neck, arm, and wrist immobilisation The 50x11cm dimensions and T-Curve configuration allow this splint to be used as an improvised cervical collar for neck immobilisation — a capability not available from standard aluminium foam splints. Application diagrams printed on the packaging illustrate correct neck and arm application technique, making correct use accessible to any first aider at the point of incident without needing to recall training from memory.
  • Ruler markings on both edges — accurate sizing before application Centimetre ruler markings printed along both long edges allow the splint to be measured and sized against the injured limb before application — ensuring the correct coverage length and allowing the splint to be cut or folded to the correct dimensions if required. A practical detail that improves application accuracy in field conditions where guessing dimensions introduces error.
  • 50x11cm flat-packed, Assurance branded — reusable and compact Flat-packed for compact storage in a first aid kit, sports medical bag, vehicle kit, or IFAK. Reusable after cleaning — the foam construction maintains its configuration properties through multiple use and training applications. Branded Assurance First Aid Kits — the splint we include in our own kits, available for individual restock. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
The Assurance Splint is included in our Elite Sports First Aid Kit and is the correct restock item for any kit in the Assurance range that includes splint coverage. For aluminium foam splint alternatives suited to heavy-duty limb immobilisation, see the aluminium foam splint range in the same collection. FAQs

What is the Assurance First Aid Kits Splint used for?
The Assurance 50x11cm foam splint is used to immobilise injured limbs and provide cervical neck support in first aid. It can be configured in three fold profiles — C-Curve, Reverse C-Curve, and T-Curve — providing progressively increasing rigidity for different immobilisation requirements. The T-Curve configuration supports cervical collar application for neck immobilisation. Ruler markings and application diagrams are printed on the splint for accurate field use.

What are the three fold configurations and when are they used?
The C-Curve provides strong support for standard limb splinting. The Reverse C-Curve provides stronger support for injuries requiring firmer immobilisation. The T-Curve provides maximum rigidity and is used for the highest immobilisation requirement including cervical collar application. The correct configuration is selected based on the injury being managed.

Can this splint be used as a cervical collar?
Yes. The T-Curve configuration of the 50x11cm splint supports improvised cervical collar application for neck immobilisation. Application diagrams for neck immobilisation are printed on the packaging. This is an improvised field measure — for suspected spinal injuries, call 000 and follow dispatcher guidance before moving the patient.

What are the ruler markings on the splint for?
Centimetre ruler markings are printed along both long edges of the splint, allowing accurate measurement and sizing against the injured limb before application. This ensures correct coverage length and allows the splint to be sized accurately in field conditions without additional measuring tools.

Is this splint reusable?
Yes. The foam construction maintains its configuration properties through multiple uses and is suitable for training and practice as well as treatment. Clean after each treatment use before returning to the kit.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
