Description

The larger format in the Assurance splint range. Where the 50cm splint covers neck, arm, and wrist applications, the 92x11cm covers the full range — neck, arm, wrist and hand, and foot — in a single piece of equipment that adapts to the injury through three configurable rigidity profiles. At nearly a metre long, this splint provides the coverage needed for full lower arm, lower leg, and foot immobilisation that the shorter format cannot achieve.

Same three-configuration foam construction — C-Curve for strong support, Reverse C-Curve for stronger, T-Curve for maximum rigidity including cervical collar application. Lightweight, waterproof, radiolucent, reusable, and latex free. Ruler markings and application diagrams for neck, arm, wrist/hand, and foot printed directly on the splint. The comprehensive field splinting tool for advanced first aid kits, sports medical kits, and remote area trauma packs.

  • 92x11cm — full-length coverage for arm, leg, wrist, hand, and foot At 92cm, this splint provides coverage for full lower limb applications that the 50cm format cannot reach. Foot and ankle immobilisation, full forearm splinting, lower leg support, and extended wrist and hand coverage are all achievable from a single piece of equipment. The correct size for advanced first aid kits, remote area trauma packs, and sports kits where the full range of fracture and dislocation presentations is a realistic requirement.
  • Three rigidity configurations — C-Curve, Reverse C-Curve, T-Curve The foam construction folds into three progressively rigid profiles. C-Curve for strong limb support. Reverse C-Curve for stronger support requiring firmer immobilisation. T-Curve for maximum rigidity including cervical collar application for neck support. All four application areas — neck, arm, wrist/hand, and foot — are illustrated with diagrams printed on the splint surface so correct technique is available at the point of care without relying on memory.
  • Radiolucent, waterproof, latex free — does not need removal for X-ray Radiolucent construction means the splint does not need to be removed for imaging at hospital — reducing patient handling and pain on arrival. Waterproof for use in wet and outdoor Australian conditions without degrading. Latex free for use on all patients without allergy risk. Lightweight enough for hiking packs, sports bags, and remote area carry without meaningful weight addition.
  • Ruler markings, reusable, Assurance branded Centimetre ruler markings on both long edges for accurate limb measurement before application. Reusable after cleaning — suitable for training and practice use without depleting treatment stock. Branded Assurance First Aid Kits — the larger splint format for advanced kit configurations. Ships from Dubbo, NSW within 2 business days.
The 92x11cm splint is the correct choice for advanced first aid kits, remote area trauma packs, sports medical kits, and any kit where full-length limb coverage across all four major application areas is required. For smaller applications where the 50cm format provides adequate coverage, the Assurance Splint 50x11cm is available in the same range. FAQs

What is the difference between the 92x11cm and 50x11cm Assurance splints?
Both splints share the same three-configuration foam construction, ruler markings, and application diagrams. The difference is size and application range. The 50x11cm covers neck, arm, and wrist applications. The 92x11cm adds wrist/hand and foot coverage, providing full-length immobilisation for lower limb and extended upper limb applications that the shorter format cannot achieve. Choose the 92cm for advanced kits requiring the full range of fracture and dislocation coverage.

What applications is the 92x11cm splint suited to?
The 92x11cm Assurance splint is suited to neck, arm, wrist and hand, and foot immobilisation — all four major field splinting applications. Application diagrams for each are printed directly on the splint surface. It is the correct size for full lower arm, lower leg, and foot coverage that the 50cm format cannot provide.

Is this splint radiolucent?
Yes. The Assurance 92x11cm splint is radiolucent — it does not need to be removed for X-ray imaging at hospital. This reduces patient handling, movement at the injury site, and pain on arrival, and allows initial assessment and imaging to proceed with the splint in place.

Is this splint waterproof?
Yes. The splint is waterproof and maintains its structural integrity and immobilisation function in wet conditions — relevant for outdoor, agricultural, and remote Australian environments where injuries may occur in rain or near water.

Can this splint be used as a cervical collar?
Yes. The T-Curve configuration supports improvised cervical collar application for neck immobilisation. This is an improvised field measure — for suspected spinal injuries, call 000 and follow dispatcher guidance before moving the patient.

Is this splint reusable?
Yes. The foam construction maintains its configuration properties through multiple uses and is suitable for training and practice as well as treatment. Clean after each treatment use before returning to the kit.

About Assurance First Aid Kits

It started back in 2008 when Samantha, a first aid trainer, kept getting the same question from her students: "But what kit should I actually buy?" After years of recommending products that didn't quite hit the mark, she and her partner Dan decided to build one themselves — right here in Dubbo, NSW.

Every kit is hand-assembled by Dan in our Dubbo store using 85% Australian-made components. No cheap fillers, no imported bulk packs — just quality gear that works when it matters most.

Samantha still trains, alongside Max and Neil, delivering nationally recognised first aid courses in Dubbo and surrounding areas. That real-world training experience is baked into every kit we build.

We're not a warehouse. We're not a big box retailer. We're a small Australian team who genuinely care whether you're prepared.
